01Introduction
UNIFY Equalizer Bass Booster (also called UNIFY EQ) is an Android equalizer, bass booster, spatial-audio tool and local music player operated by an independent developer in Vietnam. This policy applies to the Android app and the UNIFY EQ website.
The app has two distinct parts:
- Core app: local equalizer, playback, visualizer, profiles, presets, effects, Music Editor Pro and related features processed primarily on the Android device.
- Community Presets: an optional online area for discovering and sharing equalizer presets and segment configurations. Community access has a higher minimum age.
Local-first principle: original music files are not uploaded to a developer-operated server merely to equalize, visualize or play them.
02Age requirements
13+
Core app
Users must be at least 13 years old to use UNIFY EQ's local equalizer, sound effects and music-player functions.
Important: being allowed to use the 13+ core app does not grant access to Community Presets. Community participation is strictly restricted to users who confirm they are 16 or older.
Users aged 13–15 may use local, offline and on-device audio features, but must not create or use a Community account. Users under 13 must not use the app. If local law requires a higher minimum age, the higher age applies.
03Android permissions and device access
| Permission or data | Why it may be used |
| Music and audio files | Scan, organize and play supported music stored on the phone or SD card; read filenames, paths, tags, duration, lyrics and embedded album artwork. |
| Microphone / audio-analysis access | Analyze audio waves for visualizers or supported audio processing. UNIFY EQ does not use this permission to create or store voice recordings. |
| Notifications and foreground service | Show playback and equalizer status, media controls, timer status and supported Community activity notifications. |
| Exact alarms | Only when the user creates a Wake Timer that must run at a chosen time. |
| Battery-optimization settings | Help the user keep supported background audio functions running. Changing this setting is optional. |
| Local storage | Store settings, playlists, profiles, presets, downloaded Community items, artwork references, editor projects and exported configuration files. |
| Internet access | Authentication, Community Presets, moderation, billing checks, updates, analytics, advertising and support functions where enabled. |
| Google Play Billing | Confirm subscriptions, trials, one-time purchases and Premium entitlement. Full card or bank details are not received by the developer. |
04On-device audio and local data
Equalizer bands, bass and virtualizer levels, dynamics settings, limiter and compressor parameters, noise-gate settings, reverb, spatial motion, visualizer values and playback controls are processed on the device to provide the sound selected by the user.
UNIFY EQ may locally store:
- Equalizer presets, speaker and headphone profiles, favorites and preset albums.
- Playlists, library indexes, lyrics, song notes, metadata edits and album-art references.
- Music Editor Pro segment boundaries and per-segment preset assignments.
- Imported, exported and backup configuration files.
- Theme, language, notification and interface preferences.
This local information can normally be removed from inside the app, by clearing Android app data, or by uninstalling the app. Original music files remain under the user's control unless the user separately chooses to delete them.
06How information is used
- Core functionality: playback, equalization, visualizers, profiles, presets, timers and editor tools.
- Authentication: sign in eligible users aged 16+ to optional Community features.
- Community operation: display profiles, publish and distribute presets, record interactions and send activity notifications.
- Moderation and safety: investigate reports, remove prohibited content, enforce age restrictions and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Purchases: validate Google Play subscriptions, trials and one-time entitlements.
- Diagnostics and improvement: investigate crashes, compatibility failures and aggregate feature performance.
- Legal compliance: respond to lawful requests and protect users, the developer and the service.
UNIFY EQ does not sell personal information, email addresses, local music files or private presets to advertisers or data brokers.
07Email communications and notifications
Transactional messages
Eligible Community account holders may receive necessary account, security, deletion, purchase, moderation or important policy messages. These messages are used to operate and protect the account.
Optional marketing email
If UNIFY EQ offers product news, feature announcements, preset collections, beta invitations or promotional email, enrollment is off by default and requires a separate affirmative opt-in. Marketing consent is not bundled with acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
- Only users aged 16 or older may opt in.
- Every marketing email must contain a clear unsubscribe method.
- Opting out of marketing does not close the account or disable core app features.
- Email addresses are not shared with third-party marketers for their independent use.
Push notifications
Push notifications may be used for playback, timers, account security, moderation or activity connected to the user's own Community account. Android notification controls can be changed at any time.
08Public content, service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers that support UNIFY EQ, including:
- Google Firebase or equivalent infrastructure: optional authentication, Community database, notifications, moderation and server functions.
- Google Play: app distribution, billing, subscription management and purchase validation.
- Analytics, crash-reporting or advertising providers: only where enabled and subject to applicable consent and platform controls.
- Email-delivery providers: account messages and, only after opt-in, optional marketing communications.
Providers process data under their applicable terms and privacy commitments. Data may be transferred internationally when a provider operates outside the user's country, subject to available contractual and legal safeguards.
Published presets, public profiles, comments and generated share cards are intentionally public within Community. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer.
09Advertising, analytics and billing
Advertising
The free version may display ads where enabled. Advertising partners may process device, advertising or approximate technical identifiers under their own policies and applicable consent choices. Premium versions may remove ads as described in the purchase screen.
Analytics and diagnostics
UNIFY EQ may process app version, device category, feature events, crash traces and other pseudonymous diagnostics to improve stability, compatibility and security. These records are not intended to contain original music files.
Billing
Purchases are processed by Google Play. The developer may receive product ID, purchase token, transaction state and entitlement information, but not the user's complete payment-card or banking details.
10Storage, retention and security
- Local settings and media indexes remain on the Android device until cleared or removed.
- Community account data is retained while the account remains active and until a valid deletion request is completed.
- Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or technical logs before routine removal.
- Moderation, security, fraud-prevention and billing records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Anonymous and aggregated statistics may be retained when they no longer identify a user.
UNIFY EQ uses reasonable technical and organizational protections, including encrypted network connections for online features and access controls for Community data. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11Your choices and data rights
AccessAsk what account information is associated with you.
CorrectionUpdate inaccurate profile information.
DeletionDelete the optional account and associated Community data.
PortabilityRequest an export where applicable and technically available.

Users may also change Android permissions, clear app data, remove local presets and manage subscriptions through Google Play.
12Children, teenagers and Community eligibility
Under 13
UNIFY EQ is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 was collected, we will investigate and delete it where required.
Ages 13–15
Users aged 13–15 may use the core local app, but cannot access Community Presets, create an account, publish or download Community content, create a profile, comment, follow, like, favorite, repost, message or use any other Community interaction.
Age 16 and older
Community access is permitted only after the user confirms they are at least 16 and completes any account requirements. We may use self-declaration, platform age signals or supported provider information where available to enforce this rule.
Underage Community accounts
If we reasonably believe a Community user is under 16, we may immediately restrict Community access, request age clarification and delete or anonymize Community account data. A parent or guardian may report a suspected underage Community account by emailing namtruyenpro95@gmail.com with the subject Underage Community Account.
No parental-consent bypass: users under 16 are not permitted to participate in Community Presets, even if a parent or guardian gives permission.
13Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced through the app, website, Play Store listing or account communication where appropriate.
If a change requires new consent—for example, a new category of optional marketing or a materially different use of personal information—UNIFY EQ will request that consent separately rather than treating continued use as consent.
